UFFIZI GALLERY

It is one of the most important art galleries in the world. For sure the most visited Florence’s museum. It houses the most noteworthy collection of Renaissance paintings that had been collected by the Medici family.
You will find masterpieces of prominent artists such as : Ciamabue, Giotto, Simone Martini, Piero della Francesca, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio and many others. The Gallery is subdivided into several rooms and the paintings are placed in a chronological order.

ACCADEMIA

This is where you will find the monumental statue by Michelangelo called the “David”.
You will also find the impressive Prisoners by Michelangelo which are famous for the innovative “unfinished style.”
The museum also houses a big collection of Medieval and Renaissance paintings .

BOBOLI GARDEN

Come and experience a piece of paradise in the middle of the bustling city of Florence. Just behind the Pitti Palace, you will be amazed to find a magnificent garden full of attractions such as fountains with water games, statues , caves and beautiful Mediterrenian plants. You have a wonderful view of the rolling Tuscan hills as well as castles from the top of the garden .
The result is a blend of Italian, French and English garden styles that are adorned with the collection of statues that date from Roman time to XX century .

MEDICI CHAPEL

Built during the 17th century as the private crypt of the Medici family, the Chapel is one the most interesting Florence museums.
Entirely decorated with semi-precious stones coming from all over the world, its purpose was to house the tombs of the Medici family in all of its grandeur .
There is an additional room called the New Sacristy which was entirely designed by Michelangelo to welcome the tombs of Lorenzo the Magnificent and his brother Giuliano.

BARGELLO MUSEUM

Originally built in 1255 as the residence of a political figure called the Captain, it became the prison of Florence during the Middle Ages. It is a prime example of a medieval structure.
This medieval fortress presently contains the most important sculpture collection of the Renaissance.
Here you will find the sophisticated David by Donatello as well as the Baccus by Michelangelo. You will also find works by other famous sculpters including : Benvenuto Cellini, Verrocchio, Giambologna, Ammannati, Lorenzo Ghiberti , Luca della Robbia and Brunelleschi.

PITTI PALACE

Known as one of the most elegant residences of Europe, was the home of the Medici family. This beautiful palace inspired the project of Versailles . The Medici family was able to collect massive amount of masterpieces over 200 years that are still furnishing the palace today. Among all of these works you find paintings by artists such as Botticelli, Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio and Rubens . Come and walk through the private apartments of the Medici family entirely decorated with paintings, frescos and tapestries . You won’t even think to be inside a Florence’s museum! You will be in a real Palace!
