Full Day City Tour with Uffizi and Accademia

Full Day City Tour with Uffizi and Accademia

per person

The “Full Day City Tour with Uffizi and Accademia” starts with the Accademia Gallery, home to the David and other important statues created by Michelangelo.

The visit in this museum will be focused on the David and the Prisoners by Michelangelo. You will be fascinated by these masterpieces because we will unveil the secrets behind their beauty and their creator’s thoughts and life. The lesser-known Prisoners are intriguing because they reveal the personal torment of Michelangelo who sculpted the beautiful figures, struggling to escape from the stone.

After our museum visit, the “Full Day City Tour with Uffizi and Accademia” continues around the historical center.

We will visit the Duomo (Cathedral) which is the highlight of the city’s religious center with Brunelleschi’s dome (the largest walled dome in the world), the beautiful Giotto Bell Tower, and the Romanesque Baptistery with the Gate of Paradise . The visit continues in the old medieval district , residence of wealthy corporations and beautiful gothic buildings such as Orsanmichele church.

Last but not least before your lunch break we will visit Piazza della Repubblica, the central square and heart of Florence in all its majesty.

Once arriving at the end on the first part of the tour, it’s time to reveal to you where the locals go for lunch. I will show you some good places where you can experience our culinary tradition during your break.
Have a seat, eat, drink wine if you wish, relax and I will pick you up in one hour.

“Full Day City Tour with Uffizi and Accademia” continues through the political center of the city, passing through the narrow, medieval streets with its old towers. We will find ourselves in a beautiful square which is an open-air museum called Piazza della Signoria.

Massive buildings such as Palazzo Vecchio, a medieval fortress which has always been the center of Florentine political power, is, even today, the Town Hall.

The Loggia dei Lanzi will catch your attention with its many statues which are original, with some masterpieces from the Renaissance.  Walking in the Square of the Uffizi museum, you will realize how big this gallery is and how lucky you are to have a guide here.

The Uffizi gallery represents one of the most important art centers in the world, just as the Louvre is for Paris.

It is the most visited museum in Florence. Here you find works of art painted and sculpted over 1500 years of history. No panic, we do not have time to see all of them today but we will dedicate our time to the masterpieces . The Uffizi gallery has the most important collection of Renaissance art in the world today.

I will introduce you to the world of art in an interesting and intriguing manner. Due to the massive quantity of important artwork in this museum, I can walk you through its hallway introducing you to the significance of these masterpieces such as the ones by Piero della Francesca, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael and many others.

After the Uffizi “Full Day City Tour with Uffizi and Accademia” continues because you still have to see the most romantic place in the city, the Ponte Vecchio. Our tour will end there.

We come to the Arno River with a breathtaking view of the Ponte Vecchio (The Old Bridge). Strolling along the river under an elegant gallery, we arrive at this iconic bridge, which is home to historical jewelry shops.

From the bridge you can take memorable pictures of this charming city, which will be the perfect final touch to our great tour.
