Uffizi Tour

Uffizi Tour

per person

The Uffizi gallery represents one of the most important art centers in the world.
It is the most visited museum in Florence.
If you are interested in learning about art, the Uffizi tour gives you the opportunity to witness the development of art styles and the history behind them.

I will introduce you to the world of art in an interesting and intriguing manner. Due to the massive quantity and importance of this museum, I can walk you through its hallway opening you up to the significance of these masterpieces.

The Uffizi gallery has the most important collection of renaissance art in the world today.
This building was originally designed by Giorgio
Vasari in 1560 to be the home of the bureaucratic offices. The project was commissioned by Cosimo I of the Medici, who was The Grand Duke of Tuscany at that time.
Soon after, Cosimo I used it as his private art gallery. The massive number of works of art the Medici acquired and collected here, attracted the most important intellectuals and artists of that time.

The Uffizi gallery is already a work of art in itself with its beauty, the elegance of its architecture and paintings that decorate its long magnificent corridors.
During the Uffizi tour, in this art gallery we have the honor of admiring the works of the masters that made art history, such as: Giotto, Gentile da Fabriano, Piero della Francesca, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio and many others.
In a chronological order, we will understand the development of the art styles from majestic golden paintings from the Middle Ages to the elegant Gothic and the perfect beauty of the Renaissance leading to the theatrical and dramatic Baroque.

Walking through the rooms, you will find yourself in front of the harmonious beauty of the “Birth of Venus” and the “Primavera” by Botticelli as well as the elegant and sophisticated “Annunciazione” by Leonardo da Vinci and the modern brightly colorful “Tondo Doni” by Michelangelo.

Walking along the Uffizi Tour, we will discover the beautiful “Tribune” designed by Buontalenti in 1584.
It is a room of true wonders. Inspired by the four natural elements, the rare and precious objects that furnish the room such as the incredible number of 8500 mother of pearl shells on the ceiling, the red velvet on the walls and the semi-precious stones on the floor that symbolize air, water, fire and earth.

Every painting, sculpture and little detail of the Uffizi Gallery tells the incredible story of this fantastic city, Florence.
This collection explains the evolution of art in a world which Florence was the center of.
